Premiere: Notme – “moth”

Winnipeg sad-pop band Notme are gearing up for their forthcoming release baby teeth and give us a preview with their new track “moth”. Since their 2016 EP sinking, Notme has grown from Isiah Schellenberg’s bedroom project to a full band effort with Mitch Merrick, Sam Lavergne, and Ian Bell. Together, as Schellenberg tell us, Notme “brings up the downsides of life in a pop song fashion.”

“Everything is wrong again, I don’t know what I am. But I know what you are sitting on your bedroom floor,” spits Schellenberg in the middle of the “moth,” right before the song descends into chaos. Dominated by a fiercely played guitar melody, this lo-fi pop-rock track is messy, anxious, and alive!
