A slow-burning, sensual song demands a video of equal atmosphere, and Daemon & Airdrie’s second single, out today, has a video that quite fits that description.
Filmed on Salt Spring Island, BC (from which the duo hail), the video follows dancers Brianna and Jaclyn Grant along a beach and near the water. The song itself builds itself on distorted samples, keys and the odd guitar here and there for an almost spiritual-sounding song.
Brianna and Jaclyn are clad in contrasting colours, but as they meet, the opposites become not so opposite anymore. It’s an appropriate visual for the song, which is about moving through a big change in your life.
“Melt” is out on iTunes and Bandcamp today, and you can check out the video below.
