“Hard to Find,” Liam Faucher’s (Soft Violence) new track and the follow-up to his 2016 release Beneath a Wounded Moon, is a sharp and energetic listen. Amongst waves of glistening keyboard-rock, we hear Faucher struggle with how hard it can be to keep your head above the darkness. “This song is about emotional removal or detachment,” Faucher tells us. “There’s something scary about the idea of not feeling, becoming desensitized or numb, but it isn’t all that uncommon for people to find themselves emotionally apathetic.”
Adding: “It’s very upsetting to watch somebody go through it, because they become a sort of ghost of themselves. It really changes people. So this song it about trying to find that vacant emotional level of people when they’re in that tough, removed place.”
