Premiere: Blue Moon Marquee – “Double Barrel Blues”

double-barrel-bluesWe’ve long followed the music of Blue Moon Marquee, which started out as A.W. Cardinal and has since come to own the term “gypsy blues,” their self-described style of music.

Gypsy Blues is also the name of Blue Moon Marquee’s latest album, filled with Cardinal’s signature growly voice and bluesy arrangements. One song on the album is “Double Barrel Blues,” the video for which Grayowl Point is proud to premiere.

The fiery song gets a video fitting the band’s mythology. Shot and cut by Cory James Doherty and Michael Henry, the video follows what is presumably the “Trickster Coyote” referenced in their music as he goes into an old-timey club, complete with classy dancing, gambling, and a whole lot of guns. As the Coyote makes his way through the club, it becomes clear that he’s there to do what he does best—cause a little bit of a ruckus.

See what path of destruction the nimble prankster can carve in the video below.
