Since we reviewed the debut album from Toronto’s Father Christmas last year, Kyle Alexander Peters’ one man operation has grown into a five-piece band. From the sounds of the first single from Father Christmas’ sophomore album Naturally (out this Fall), this expanded line-up has made the band’s standout psych-pop jams even more heady.
“Twisted Ones” is undoubtedly a track to listen to as the summer sun starts to burn out. In the song we return to the desert – a primary setting in the debut album – and find the band traveling along the dusty roads and leaving a cloud of heavy guitar reverb and smooooth pop melodies in their wake.
