Audible Hoots: Nick Everett

You know when you find a song that perfectly matches your current mood? That’s what happened to me (Laura) late last week when Nick Everett released a new song “Fake Conversations.”

Part of a charity record for CJSR, a volunteer-run campus and community radio station in Edmonton, “Fake Conversations” brings with it the same folk style, full-band sound from Everett’s latest album elsethingsand lyrics that I’m sure people (aka everybody) who has ever had a conversation with someone that they really don’t want to be talking to, can relate to:

“…and I’ll tell you about my interests and nothing of my heart. In fact, I’ll ignore what is true to me to keep this thing short. Fake conversations are overrated.”

“Fake Conversations” is available on Bandcamp and watch Everett and his band perform the tune for the great folks over at Southern Souls below:
