Visual Hoots: Christian Hansen

Some time ago, we launched Audible Hoots, a way for us to tell you about some great new individual singles. When it came to posting music videos, we elected to first try out Video Spotlights, which featured at least five videos each. Now we’ve shifted our format of posting videos a tad, to what are now called Visual Hoots. This will allow us to be a bit more timely as we’re sent videos from the wonderfully talented acts Canada has to offer.

Our very first Visual Hoot comes to us from Christian Hansen, who put out the outrageously catchy C’Mon Arizona out last year. The video is for “Please Don’t Do That.”

It’s an interesting choice for Hansen, whose music usually leans towards upbeat, ironic pop music. This is a bit more of a slow jam, and the video is something Hansen calls “Flashdance meets Interpol.” That’s not too bad of a description. The video features Hansen and Molly Flood in dark backgrounds, with plenty of glow-in-the-dark paint later on.

Christian Hansen will be celebrating the release of the video on March 2 at the Silver Dollar.
