With June comes the beginning of summer, and also a new Parliament’s Choice. This month’s pick is the Montreal “hindie-rock” group Elephant Stone.
The group first came to our attention with their debut full-length called The Seven Seas. It was delightfully refreshing- it had psychedelic and dreamy rock but also had a few songs that lead singer Rishi Dhir played using a sitar.
Fast forward to the end of May where Elephant Stone has now released The Glass Box EP which features even more killer tracks, foremost among them “Strangers” and “Savage Soul,” the latter using a great amount of sitar.
At the end of the month Elephant Stone will be touring Europe, visiting such cities as London, Glasgow and Paris.
Look out for Elephant Stone’s (specifically Rishi Dhir’s) answers to our Grayowl Questionnaire two days from now.
