May: a time of celebration and growth; life and love. With these principles of the month in mind, we at Grayowl Point are pleased to announce that Final Flash is this month’s Parliament’s Pick. Yes, they’re new, but we at Grayowl Point expect some pretty great things from them.
The Montreal-based newcomers have been taking tremendous leaps in their careers recently. In April, they digitally released their debut record, Homeless, and on May 4, they made it available to those who are still clinging to their compact disks. The album’s unique and dynamic mix of folk and psychedelic rock was well-received by fans and critics alike.
The album’s release followed a year of extensive performing. In the past year, Final Flash has graced the stages of Canadian Music Week, SXSW, NXNE, and M for Montreal. Their performance at the Toronto International Film Festival led to one their song “Fading Light” being added to the soundtrack of this little show called “Vampire Diaries.” Impressed? You should be.
For the rest of the year, the band will be touring extensively throughout Canada, the UK, and Asia. Unfortunately, the band won’t be coming back to Canada until the end of the month. Try to catch one of their announced shows if you can. If you can’t, be patient: it’s only a matter of time before the hit a venue near you. You know Grayowl Point will keep you posted.
