If you’re looking for some new French Canadian music to spice up your boring old English playlist, look no further than Quebec City brother duo Ponctuation. Ahead of their latest record 27 Club, out March 19th, Guillaume and Maxime Chiasson have released a song from the record, “À bout de souffle,” (translated to “breathless” in English) that will leave you just that.
Recorded all on tape, “À bout de souffle” is pure grungy, energetic, rock and roll thanks to the crunchy, and louder than you would expect, basic guitar/vocals/drums combo. Without any sort of fuss, the newest single from Ponctuation will get you out of your seat and dancing in a hurry.
“À bout de souffle” and come March, all of 27 Club is available on Bandcamp.
Amazing album, all the way through! One of my favorite song of Ponctuation is not on the album, it was on their previous effort: http://ponctuationponctuation.bandcamp.com/album/l-che-vitrine-ep
Anyway, glad to see you liked them!
